Victoria’s Secret Deal: Today Only!

Victorias Secret

Great savings, today (11/6/09) ONLY!! There are two stackable coupon codes available for use today. First, SHIPFREE. This code will give you free shipping, plus every order receives AT LEAST a $10 rewards card (or “gift card”). Second, the code CLOTH20 will take off 20% any clothing purchase. Now, I didn’t try that code on bras or panties, but it might be worth a shot. I’ve been wanting this Henley that’s on clearance, so I purchased that and will use the $10 rewards card the next time I find a good bra on sale. So, I was able to purchase a long sleeved Henley for $10.38 including tax, with free shipping and at least a $10 back! You could do even better than me if you purchased a cheaper article on clearance :-) .

**My only disclaimer would be that I have not personally received my $10 rewards card, so I cannot vouch for it too much- This code was received from @dealsplus on Tweet, which is generally pretty reliable, but you never know! I made sure my total was at least $10 because I knew of another deal earlier this week where you had to spend at least $10 to receive the card- Which could be worth up to $500. Here’s to hoping! LOL**

Have fun!

Target Halloween Clearance: 75% off!

P1070417Get ready to stock up on next years Halloween costumes and CANDY! (ok, the candy probably won’t and shouldn’t last that long)

Target’s Halloween stash is now 75% off, meaning super savings on lots of stuff. On top of that, Target has coupons out for all kinds of their candy- You can choose the ones you want and print them HERE.  You might want to print a few of each candy coupon, since there is no telling what your Target will have or be out of!! I was able to get 4 bags of Halloween milk chocolate M&Ms, 4 bags peanut M&Ms and a value bag of Brach’s candy corn for just $3. 14!! I paid for it with a recent gift card I earned, but I think that is a SUPER deal regardless!! (now if only they had carried the dark chocolate M&Ms…mmm…)

Frugal Friend’s Friday!!

P1060548“Use it up, wear it out, make do, or do without!”

Who loves being a penny pincher? I do I do! What can we learn from each other this week that will save our pennies?

“I save money by buying a whole chicken and cooking it in the crockpot. I shred the chicken to use in several different recipes, freeze some, and use the bones to make chicken broth (plus the broth made from cooking the chicken).” – Whitney, Cornelius NC

- You stole my idea for one of next week’s blogs “Make your own: chicken broth”! LOL! I love this tip- Simple, economical, and YUMMY!

“I clean just about everything with vinegar. Sometimes I add baking soda to it. In fact the other day [my husband] mentioned how much cleaner the floors seemed since I have been using just vinegar and water.“  – Tenley, Rock Hill SC

-Vinegar is inexpensive, non toxic and a great disinfectant- It even kills most molds and bacteria because of its acidity. Here is a website where you can discover all the many great uses of vinegar: The Vinegar Institue.  And guess what? I bet if you emailed Heinz or White House, they’d even send you some coupons for their vinegar products. You could always mention how Windex just came out with a new vinegar window solution, and you’d like to see Heinz or White House have them beat ;-)

That’s all for today! Be sure to send your frugal tips to frugalmegan@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you, and I know others would enjoy learning what you are doing to save your family pennies!

Harris Teeter Triples: 11/5/09

P1070402Harris Teeter Triples are here again!! In hopes to use my unique situation to display couponing to all, I will go through everything I bought and what coupons I used. The basic out line is this: (how many of each item I purchased) name of item: price. Amount of coupon (where coupon was found) “x3″, meaning it was tripled = final cost. Here goes!

Today’s trip was full of free stuff because a new catalina starts tomorrow on Post cereals. The cereal will be .34c after coupons, and I believe when you buy 4 you get a $3 OYNO coupon. So I’ll be using those coupons to “buy” some of my more expensive products (like .85c almond milk).

Yesterday my hubby did a trip for me because I was at home sick- Isn’t he a sweetie? He did really well, and got exactly what I asked him to. I don’t have picks, but here is the run down of his trip:

Hope this helps the locals put a trip together, and I hope it shows others how awesome coupons can be- Even if your store only doubles once a month, that is a great time to combine a good coupon with a great sale and get your $$ worth!
